Hola, he visto este cargo en varios documentos de Chipre, India y Pakistán. Aparece firmando las apostillas o dando fe de la autenticidad de las firmas de otros funcionarios.

No sé cómo puede traducirse en el español peninsular. "Funcionario de distrito" queda un poco vago, así como "oficial de distrito".
