agree  Lirka: yes, but I wonder if they don't actually mean that it is "narrowED". I cannot imagine that they would simply describe the normal anatomical dimensions. If they're describing pathology, then I think "narrowed" is more suitable.

lumen narrowing (stenosis)

Explanation:
Peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAOD) results either from atherosclerotic or inflammatory processes causing lumen narrowing (stenosis), or from thrombus formation (usually associated with underlying atherosclerotic disease). When these conditions arise, there is an increase in vessel resistance that can lead to a reduction in distal perfusion pressure and blood flow.

thin-lumen

Explanation:
In most of the German literature I found online, dünnlumig refers to catheters with a thin lumen:

- "Injektionskanüle (dünnlumig 24G–25G)"
http://www.schattauer.de/fileadmin/assets/buecher/Musterseit...

- "Wahl des Kathetersystems
•Temporär –Permanent ?
•Dicklumig–Dünnlumig?"
http://www.ake-nutrition.at/uploads/media/Muhm_ZVK_Standard_...

- "Die modernen Kathetersysteme sind mittlerweile so fein und dünnlumig, dass diese Untersuchungen bereits ambulant durchgeführt werden können."
http://www.spitzenmedizin.com/categories.php?sessionID=enfak...

I have also found a few references to veins/arteries as "dünnlumig," as in:

"Somit ist die V.ischiadica (245/36) bei ihrer Mündung in die V.portalis renalis caudalis (—/ 61) nur dünnlumig..."

Although in English, "thin lumen" gets some Google hits, the term "narrow lumen," as proposed by my colleagues, is a lot more common, so I would go with that. Meaning remains the same.
