Annual village/town festival

Explanation:
Maybe something like this if you want to avoid "name day"-type terms

Or "funfest", which crops up from time to time - especially in the US: e.g.

disagree  philgoddard: I think it has to have (patron) saint in there somewhere. And "funfest" would definitely not work here.

-> I think a lot depends on the target audience. You could use the term and add a gloss if needs be, but my reading was that a (saint's) name term might be problematic for some. As for "funfest", I thought I'd just toss it in (it wouldn't be my first choice)

patron saint's feast/procession

Explanation:
It's a literal translation but so specific to southern Europe I can't think of an actual equivalent.

I was lucky enough to see Saint Dominic's feast and procession recently in Valletta, Malta, with fireworks, a brass band, confetti and of course the Saint's statue carried proudly through the streets.

agree  Evans (X): Here in Cornwall, such days are known simply as "feast day" or even just "feast". As this is not true of the whole English-speaking world and not even the whole of the UK, I think "saint's feast day" works well.

agree  Helen Shiner: Also agree with 'saint's feast day'
42 mins
  -> thanks

neutral  Sandra Petch: "Feast day" suggests to me the actual date whereas "feast" alone suggests the actual celebration and procession (as in my earlier answer).

agree  philgoddard: I prefer festival - it might not involve feasting at all.

patronal festival

Explanation:
This is the term used by the Anglican Church in the UK for events, often a church service but sometimes other things as well, held to celebrate the feast day of the saint to whom a church is dedicated. The celebrations sometimes involve the whole community, not just those who attend the church concerned.

(village) patron saint's day

Explanation:
One tends to refer to a "saint's day", rather than a "saint's festival".

The fact that is a festival and probably with very little in the way of religious input is taken as read.
