Explanation:
I'm not sure whether this incredibly long web ref. will fit, but it does show a decent picture if you can get it. "Boisseau" is one of those (many) difficult to translate words, but "hydrant" should cover it.
I'm not sure about "lance monitor", though. I think it's a lot meatier than a lance.

agree  JC Translating: "spherical ball valve" would be the exact equivalent. All I mean is that ball valves are often described as spherical ball valves, particularly the larger valves.
