There is museum that is open every day in "school mid-terms"

How can I translated this expression, which must be pretty short?

Exact dates for school holidays are dictated by the Loacl Education Authority. Although nationally, all schools will have roughly the same holidays, the exact dates are decided locally. As a rough guide, schools will get 1 week half term holiday in October, 2 week Christmas holiday, 1 week half term holiday in February or March, 2 week Easter holiday, 1 week half term holiday during the Spring Bank Holiday week, and 6 weeks summer holiday from mid July to early September.

agree  Giuseppe Bellone: Infatti credo non si riuscirà mai ad indovinare, non corrispondendo certo ai nostri periodi di vacanze scolasiche. Questo almeno dice e non dice e andrà bene comunque. Tra l'altro "semestre" per logica vorrebbe dire "metà anno" quindi anche metà corso.

Explanation:
L'anno scolastico consiste in 36 settimane circa, da settembre a luglio, suddivise in tre terms (trimestri): Autumn, Spring e Summer. È prevista una settimana di vacanza a metà di ciascun trimestre (half term).









Gli alunni hanno generalmente due o tre settimane di vacanza a Natale e a Pasqua, e una vacanza più lunga in estate.
La giornata scolastica comincia solitamente con l'appello in classe (register) cui fa seguito l'adunata (assembly) nell'aula magna, sotto il controllo del preside (Head teacher).
