a me di primo acchito viene da tradurre con "chiusura"; mi verrebbe per la verità anche "fallimento", ma mi sembra un po' troppo per il tuo testo e anche per una bottega. Trovo che il termine "chiusura" sia abbastanza neutro, perchè non dà indicazioni nè del perchè nè del come, ma ti indica solo che una certa attività non esiste più, senza indicarti o farti sospettare i motivi.

In alternativa alle proposte di Ada e Gaetano che ritengo valide, dispersion mi dà l'idea dello sparpagliare, in modo anche non programmato o organizzato, le opere che erano presenti

se invece è stato più "metodico", meno fisico come procedimento, forse "smantellamento" potrebbe essere più adatto
