  -> I agree. It is an adjective. And, as an adjective it means "of the plot" or "storyline." Oxford - "argumental: adjetivo (cine, literatura) of the plot o storyline" The reason my translation has it as a noun is because "plot short film" is not English.

neutral  Jim Tucker (X): Yes, this might be appropriate here. One would have to research whether the San Juan Competition has, say, a short animation category as well. Otherwise the "default mode" would be "short film" or "narrative short" but yours would work too.
