Anche io, di recente, ho trovato un'espressione simile, la trovi anche nel glossario di proz.
Io avevo trovato che la soluzione migliore era "personalizza". Qui, mi sembra che il testo richieda un'interiorizzazione della visita alla città, e la mia è semplicemente una proposta. Magari si parla di una città con inquinamento super-iper, allora la mia traduzione cade da sé.

Scusa, hai ragione: la mia prima versione da sottoporti era "respirane l'aria a pieni polmoni", poi ho virato verso la soluzione proposta, che mi sembrava più adatta. In un secondo tempo ho riletto il mio commento riguardante appunto l'aria, e giustamente tu mi hai fatto notare che ci azzecca poco. Sorry, my mistake.
Comunque, il senso della traduzione che dovresti dare è: vivila in qualsiasi modo, ma cerca comunque di portare qualcosa della città dentro di te, in modo che comunque ti rispecchi e ti conquisti allo stesso tempo.
