Sorry for not answering in full, but this one-line answer thing at the bottom of page is so-oo easier to use than the full answer panel... Indeed, the technical word is "slat" (plural: slats), and designates a mobile part on the leading edge (forward part) of an aircraft wing that augments its surface, modifies its general shape, and renders the aircraft more stable at slow speeds, as a result, for example during the approach phase of landing. I'll try to stick to the more formal answering process from now on...

There are indeed leading edge devices called “leading edge flaps”. However, here we need two words, one for “volet” and one for “bec”.
