die Unterlagen zur Kenntnis nehmen

English translation: to take cognizance of the submissions

German to English translations [PRO]
Law/Patents - Law (general)
German term or phrase: die Unterlagen zur Kenntnis nehmen
"Die Kommission nimmt die Unterlagen zu Frau [name] zur
Kenntnis."

Would it be legally correct to say : " ...has taken the documentation on Ms. [name] under advisement"?

And is there a better expression for "documentation"?

Thanks a lot for your help !

I'm going to be brave in this case and go with the "non agreed on", yet in my view very valid, suggestion. I also like "submissions". Let's see what the client says
Thanks, wfarkas, and please extend a warm greeting to Montreal for me( the best things in my life happened when I lived there)!

The way I have phrased it in English can either mean (to the ears of a native speaker of English) the documents submitted by Ms. XXX or the documents submitted concerning Ms. XXX.

It would also be possible to be more precise and write:

"The Commission acknowledges the documents concerning Miss XXX."
