Thanks for your suggestion which was the most helpful. As Raffaella noted, the word "economic" is superfluous in this expression. The word economic is also not used with this meaning in English.

Hi again John, as I mentioned in my comment to Marco's suggestion, I think "economia" here refers to the way all the different elements work together as a whole. See the 4th definition found in the De Mauro dictionary:
