This is a typical beginning of a letter, however there are variations in different cultures.
In some come cultures the proper way to say is: "My dear colleague" or "Our dear colleague", in other cultures you use a different ending if you address a male, and a different one if you address a female colleague. In some other cultures, a different variation is used when the speaker (the writer of the letter) is one person and another variation if more than one person sign the letter. What would be the variations in Urdu, if any?

The above word 'Mohtram' is a better word normally used for 'Dear' but the literal translation of 'Dear' is 'Piara' (For Male) and 'Piaree' (For Female). This word is not always used to address a person, and probably not in case of a colleague, IMO.

Similarly, 'Mohtram' is used for male and 'Mohtrama' for female.

Explanation:
There are also some other words that can be used for "DEAR COLLEAGUE" in Urdu like you can say in Urdu "Mere mohatram sathi." There are more suitable words that can be used to address a dear one.
