...and from 1963 chaired the Creative Unit... Explanation: or ' was chair of the' or, if you want a noun - ' she was (+/- the) chairperson', as one word, looks better. Whatever way you choose, Darya, you do need the definite article 'the' before the word 'Creative' - that is -if you want to sound native speaker-ish ! LOL 'Creative Association' still does not sound very English to my ears though. More context might help me decide if is the Creative Division or Section удожественного перевода. How about: .. 'was chairperson of the Literary Translation Division of the Soviet Writers' Union' ?
