sei sicuro sia una festa organizzata dagli operai del cantiere? perché in generale il roofing party è una "festa" (sottolineo le virgolette) organizzata da gente che deve fare il tetto di casa e che, invece di pagare la manodopera, si fa aiutare (tra una birra e un panino) da vicini, amici e parenti...

Un "party" potrebbe anche essere un "team", la squadra addetta alla posa del tetto...

oppure gli operai potrebbero decidere di festeggiare l'avvenuta posa del tetto...

Explanation:
per quanto strano possa sembrare, pare sia proprio così. Quando un gruppo di operai edili arriva al punto di collocare il tetto (dunque è a un buon punto nella lavorazione) è 'usanza' fare una sorta di festa o inaugurazione (si colloca il tetto è l'occasione è buona per festeggiare).
