If this is the case, then it's important what country your translation will be used in. I guess it's the US. I'm sure they have different names for the equivalent associations.

Asker: Yes, Alejandro, the translation is for the US. I found "court clerk's office" here on Kudoz. But I'm still not sure if that fits in the document's translation. The context is a last will and testament in Spain. Here's more about this term from the original document: "LEGALIZACIÓN: JUAN XXX, Notario con residencia en Avilés, DECANO ACCIDENTAL de la junta directiva del Ilustre Colegio Notarial de Oviedo..."
