Para peças giratórias, "reversão" significa exatamente isso: girar no outro sentido. Se era dextrógiro, funcionará como sinistrógiro. É preciso ter em conta de que peça se fala. Se é todo o buldozer, certamente será "ré", mas tratando-se do ventilador, não faz sentido falar de "ré", mas de "reversão".

Asker: oi...não será que o sentido de reverse é que o ventilador gira ao contrário..? Nas outras vezes que a palavra reverse foi usada no arquivo, significava "ré".
