I think what you suggest is fine, but I just wonder, and depending on what the translation is for whether it is worth considering why this is stated on the marriage certificate. In France this would mean that the couple were married under the 'régime de la communauté' which means that all their assets would be held jointly. What I suppose I'm saying is that an alternative translation could be 'under the community regime' which might make the translation more meaningful. I'm sure some colleagues will disagree with me, but if I was dealing with legal issues and reading your translation it might give me the information I needed. |
