delivered ex-Japan vs. arrived-customer pricing Explanation: I would translate it like this: "As of last year, a switch was made from using pricing based on delivered ex-Japan, to pricing based on arrived-customer pricing." In a supply chain, the pricing will vary depending on where the goods are physically located, and what conditions the goods are in. In international import/export, goods are often bought on the condition that they are in a delivery-ready state in standard packaging at a specified port for pick-up...this would be "delivery ex-Japan." However, as the goods move from Japan to another international location, they incur delivery, insurance and handling fees along the way, which increases the price of the goods. I think using the term "arrived-customer pricing" would be fine. Good luck. |

Japan export price basis vs. Final retail price basis Explanation: This is usually used in comparing prices of goods across countries. In this case, it's probably a comparison of price when exported from country of origin vs. the price when it is sold to the consumer in the target country. |
