Per capitale pubblico non si intende lo stato ma gli enti locali ... (che non sono mica la stessa cosa?!?) ovvero la società è completamente partecipata da enti pubblici ... io pensavo che publicly-owned limited company potesse andare bene ma il cliente dice che si può parlare di società statale ... secondo voi la mia soluzione è corretta?

si registra in borsa e rilascia gli azioni che possono essere comprate anche dai privati, diventando così una "joint-stock inc." Ma si come usiamo già la parola "corporation", mettiamo "co." per evitare ripetizione (seppur non sarebbe esattamente una tautologia) e buona notte.
