Not gently merging into the landscape, but blatantly asserting the industrial landscape or cityscape by reinforcing the existing distinctive features.

poetic

Explanation:
What they seem to be saying is that if you have a blot on the landscape already, adding another blot to it is a definite improvement!

Once that is established, I don't think it really matters very much how you say it! " ... strengthens the powerful lines of the landscape".

I'm sure they say somewhere too that this powerstation is environmentally friendly, if only because putting it in a pre-established industrial setting is better than plonking it in the middle of some untouched landscape.

Notes to answerer
Asker: My final version (with thanks to you!): the industrial framework within which the plant is to be installed is such that the it will blend into the landscape and become just another feature.

another landmark

Explanation:
its bulk will be absorbed and it will constitute a further landmark of similar ilk to the rest

to be taken on face value or read as sarcasm (cf. Bourth)

Explanation:
It's like the principal trend of the area.
'les lignes de force' = spirit / mainstream
I suppose that both variants are possible.

Asker: Yes indeed, on reflection how could it 'blend into the landscape? I'm going to change my version... Thanks B D!
