Necesito traducir el siguiente concepto al español: "nuance"

Se trata de la protección de una marca y no encuentro el significado de esta palabra para ser utilizada como verbo... solo lo encuentro como sustantivo: matiz. Podría utilizarse "matizar" en este contexto?
