Estou às voltas com um trabalho onde notei que o tradutor lusitano traduziu "corporate taxpayer #" como ... pessoa colectiva nº [....], matriculada na Conservatória do Registo Comercial de Sintra sob o nº [....], doravante designado apenas por Empreiteiro.

O que era para ser UM número (CNPJ) virou DOIS números. Como assim?

Penso que as equivalenciassão as seguintes:
CNPJ = NIPC
Matricula na conservatória = NIRE

Asker: Fernando, muito obrigado. Mas por que o tradutor criou DOIS números de registros, então? Imaginei que fosse NIPC nr. tal, mas colocou "pessoa colectiva" nr. tal e mais outro número da conservatória não sei das quantas, que NEM CONSTA no documento em inglês.

Em Portugal os números podem diferir ou não. Portanto a minha sugestão é "taxpayer’s number ......, registered at the Commercial Registry of Sintra under the number....."
