German term or phrase: Wohnungseigentum
I'm preparing for an interpretation job at a trustee's office. The topic will be a purchase contract about selling a flat (Eigentumswohnung/ Wohnungseigentum). I often found "condominium" in forums or dictionaries, but isn't that an American English term? As the contract will be between an Austrian and a British signatory, I'm looking for the British term. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!

Notes to answerer

agree  Adrian MM. (X): (BE) commonhold - always one word - or commonhold title or tenure/Eigentum. Freehold flat prev. known as a 'flying freehold'. But, again, it's the shared freehold tenure and not the flat/apartment that counts.
