Thank you people for those answers. I did not mean to open a Pandora's box here, I just need general translation of what is 'highly specific to Slovakia' as Elizabeth pointed out, so I'm picking this one. Some great points have been raised here. Again, thanks a bunch.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks so far, just a side question how would you say this in English: "Je potrebné dovybaviť kabinet 1. stupňa." I don't think teacher's office would make sense here.

Asker: Oops, wrong topic. Sorry.

agree  Elizabeth Spacilova: This is the "officiallz correct" way to translate this, but it is not normal English at all. If what you are translating is highly specific to Slovakia and this term will be flushed out a bit, then it's ok, otherwise I'd avoid it.

II/ Senior High/Secondary school students are:grade 11 & 12. In the past there was also grade 13 which now is for the most part abolished.Source of information: I am a Secondary school teacher working everyday in the system for almost 20 years. primary pupils/students => žiaci prvého stupňa
elementary school => základná škola

Example from the reference: This year, kids will learn to read and will begin to have routine homework assignments. In 1st grade, teachers often assign short homework tasks to be completed with help from a parent.Grade 1 is a year full of firsts. For some children, it’s their first experience with a long school day.

disagree  Elizabeth Spacilova: žiaci 1.A // First grade is only the first year of elementary school (kids are usually 6-7 y.o.). The link you sent speaks about "early elementary" education, grades one and two -- the two first years of 1.st.ZS.

  -> Elizabeth - please see explanation - in the reference are described also other grades in USA.
