I can't seem to find a good equivalent for "ausreichen" in the sentence. Any help would be appreciated.

I think maybe your "whereupon" is leading you astray; if you replace it with "in which", it makes sense. The real problem is that "wobei" has no really standard translation, but I'd still reword: maybe like this:

The prerequisite for compensation (to be paid) is in accordance with the principles of CISG, in which each breach of contract [is sufficient (suffices)].

agree  Paul Skidmore: with suffices and with your comment on the need to find an alternative translation for "wobei". Sometimes it means "provided that", or "subject to the proviso that". A lot depends here on the surrounding text and on the actual principles of CISG
