German term or phrase: maxwellsche Gleichungen
Die Theorie wurde im 19. Jahrhundert von James Clerk Maxwell entwickelt und in den so genannten maxwellschen Gleichungen dargestellt.

"Maxwell's equations" doesn't seem to fit here, although it is the most common equivalent of "maxwellsche Gleichungen". Any suggestions?
