permissible property or valuable property (المال المتقوم) refers to any substance that the Islamic shari'ah rules give permission to utilize and make transaction in, except in some restricted conditions in which the thing is allowed to consume (like eating pork when you have absolutely nothing else to eat, and otherwise you'll starve).
