Context - Notes to financial accounts

I have 2 headings, one is товары and the other is готовая продукция.
For товары the retail price is given in the accounts.

I am not sure how to distinguish between these categories. Clearly готовая продукция is finished goods, but what are the товары then? (There are also headings for stocks and inventory.)

Many thanks in advance.

English translation:merchandise
Explanation:
Since you mention it heads the column featuring retail price. You'd probably want to confirm this from another source or parallel text though.

The distinction I'm trying to draw is between goods that are still in the warehouse and those currently on display, but I really don't know if those are tracked separately.

Thanks to all. I think I have to go with this given the reference to retail prices.

Why not? Finished products vs raw materials

finished goods stock / finished products stock

Stock available for delivery to an external consumer, also comprising items that have been delivered but not invoiced, but not including items that have previously been invoiced to the consumer.

goods

Explanation:
In Russia, товары are goods manufactured at factories for retailing while продукция refer to food or grocery, which is different in English usage. So if I were you, I would translate 'товары' to 'goods' and готовая продукция to 'processed products'.

disagree  Dmitriy Vysotskyy: not necessarily refers to food or grocery! Examples: химическая продукция, продукция машиностроения, и т.д.

Notes to answerer
Asker: That sounds like a likely distinction. The company in question is a shipping company, and I really don't know what it could be selling, but I guess it could have some kind of merchandise.
