Stacking Velocity Analysis
Stacking velocity analysis was performed on Common-Midpoint (CMP) gathers. During this procedure traces from different source-receiver pairs with the same midpoint are collected. In case of a flat layering in the subsurface, these traces collect the reflec-tions of single subsurface reflection point, or Common-Depth-Point (CDP). Reflections from these points lie on a hyperbolic time curve in the offset domain, which is param-eterized by the time at zero-offset and the stacking velocity.
