Egy dokumentum-kezelő rendszerről van szó, itt konkrétabban a beérkező dokumentumok érkeztetési eljárásáról. Miután a dokumentumot központi helyen érkeztették, egy ún. "szignáló csoporthoz"kerül, amely eldönti "kiszignálja", hogy kihez kerüljön a dokumentum.

Erre a "szignáló csoportra" és kiszignálásra kellene egy rövid, frappáns elnevezés, mert a szótár ilyen hosszú kifejezéseket ad meg, mint: "refer/pass a document to sy (for attention).
