I think being more common doesn't make one thing correct. Saying "than me" is NOT correct. I would opt for "than I" or "than I do/am/etc.". Would you jump off a bridge if most people did? Just my opinion...

agree  Paul Dixon: I agree. The only correct form is "He has more money than I". A good way out would be to change the structure of the phrase e.g. Between us, he has more money.
