Sticking too close to the FR wording yields a highly unnatural and 'clunky' version in EN, so I'd suggest turning it round a bit like this — though of course, you'll then have fun doing the same for the 'aménagement' bit!

I think it is only reasonable here to assume the missing word is 'être', but of course you really should go back and clarify that point with your customer!

I'm not entirely clear in my mind what they mean by a 'tranchée enterrée', but I suppose it probably really should be '...planted over this structure' or maybe even 'above'. I hope the rest of your context helps make it clearer!

neutral  B D Finch: I think this has to apply to plants that arrive all by themselves,as they do as much damage as ones deliberately planted. I'm not sure, but think my formulation might cover self-planting too. Would one call it a structure?

  -> I think 'plantation' specifically refers to DELIBERATELY planted things (otherwise végétaux etc.), and yes, AFAIK, in construction terms, all sorts of things can be called a 'structure'

neutral  Tony M: I'd be very surprised if it referred to the entire site, especially from the way the context is worded; and 'ouvrage (d'art)' usually refers to some particular structure, rather than the 'chantier' as a whole.
