ecological Explanation: one usually speaks of ecological compatibility rather than biocompatability. The term ecological lends itself better than biological to being combined with houses e.g. you call these buildings Öko-haus in German. Besides its implies that the producer of eco-products had due regard to protecting the environment, or life (bios being the Greek term for it) |
