disagree  B D Finch: This would not make sense, as one would have to ask "followed by what?"

good training

Explanation:
Most people seems to translate 'suivi' by follow up, but that's when it's a noun. As an adjective it is somewhat ambiguous, as it could simply mean 'qui a été suivie', but I think the implication here is that that there has been some close monitoring of what actually happens in the training sessions.

Good training, I would suggest means the technicians have actually learnt what they need to know, rather than simply attending the classes.

C'est là que je rejoins mon collègue "révolte83", pour que ça marche, il faudrait que le personnel susceptible d'être confronté à ce genre de situation:
- ait suivi la formation...
- ait une formation suivie...
- et enfin, joue le jeu et remplisse les fiches de violences urbaines, même si ce n'est que d'un niveau 1...

regular training

Explanation:
Especially with the beginning (il faut s'assurer...) I think the important idea here is that they attend regularly. (For example "la formation était peu/très suivie" - poorly/well-attended).

Hi,

maybe it should have been "formation continue"..
