Hi, everybody!

We're trying to confirm a term used by one of our colleagues, with which our client did not agree.

We're looking for the opinion of Dutch linguists on how to say "back cover," as in "the back cover of a book." The translation assignment dealt with a software that helps people to put together the publication of their choice.

Explanation:
Klinkt niet zo fraai, in dagelijks gebruik is "achterflap" gangbaar, ook al is dat niet correct - het verwijst officieel alleen naar het naar binnen gevouwen deel van het boekomslag.
Eea hangt van het doel van de vertaling af, technisch vs meer praktisch. Maar als het om de dust-jacket gaat (neem ik aan) dan is boekomslag correct. Kaft kan ook boekomslag zijn, of een extra bescherming om het boekomslag. Achterkaft in dagelijks taalgebruik is waarschijnlijk de beste optie, naast het meer technische "achterzijde van het boekomslag." Achterkant lijkt me, gezien de reeds kritische houding van de opdrachtgever, te algemeen.
