neutral  mstkwasa: I'm no lawyer so it is probably a silly question: in the jurisdictions I know, "leases" by definition do not transfer ownership or title but exclusive possession. // [Added] So wouldn't your suggestion be redundant?

  -> Where I come from "lease-to-own" is common. If you terminate the lease you lose ownership, but if you continue leasing, eventually you will own the article or property in question.
