This is from the publicity and information website for a hotel. I have looked at a whole load of questions related to the phrase above, but can't get my head round the wording. 'Convenience at the service of great cuisine'??

It's just a slogan that does not make a lot of sense in Spanish; you just have to come up with something snappy.

Went with Henry on this one, but there were loads of options. as many of you commented, there we are translating tourism texts with the BS filter on, and really in some cases anything would do. Henry's 'snappy' answer worked well on this one, but I want to thank you all for your sound and entertaining comments. Great. :0)

Something is convenient in English when it's easy to do, so I don't tink
that fits here.

Asker: Yeah, good points all round: generally 'Gastronomia' is the most redundant word ever. When it's a 'gastronomical restaurant' (haha) in Spanish I tend to turn it into a gourmet one...But have not decided what to do here, because their definition of gastronomy is weird: convenience and great cuisine? I don't see gourmet food being 'convenient'....Hmmm...:)

Unless some Prozian pulls an inspired rabbit out of the hat, I fear you may have to resort to your safety net [of course it's a viable option!!..a.k.a. : "BS filter"..jajaja] but I'm sure you'll find something that works well for you.

It's a classic case of brochure lingo, otherwise known as "shootin' da bull". Comfort can never be in the service of cuisine -in any case, effort is.
But brochure -or website- makers don't let things like "making sense" get in their way.
