reference solution Explanation: I'd stick with the European Pharmacopoeia terminology if your text refers to it, and there "solution témoin" is "reference solution". I have done quite a lot of Ph. Eur. translations, and have never seen "de conformité" but check out this method from the Ph. Eur. http://lib.njutcm.edu.cn/yaodian/ep/EP5.0/02_methods_of_anal... which includes some reference solutions for a head-space gas chromatography method... may be some more useful vocab in it for your translation -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2008-05-26 09:31:56 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Hi Moira, if you need to differentiate the two, I'd go with your first idea, standard reference solution. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2008-05-26 10:23:22 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Here is the EU catalogue for reference substances, it might refer to a solution of this sort http://www.edqm.eu/medias/fichiers/CRS.pdf -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day1 hr (2008-05-27 10:05:10 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Just a thought - I have also come across "certified standards" and "certified standard solutions" though étalon certifié would have been a more obvious wording and I've not seem it used in the Ph. Eur. It may be an option though |
