Hello,

"Maintenance is to be carried out in the presence of the Operator's staff."

In other words, rail track maintenance needs to be performed and the operations have to be attended by the customer/railway operator.

Is the use of "in the presence of" OK in this instance, or would you propose something else?

I think that this means just that: there has to be someone present (which, in my opinion, is really a better term than something like "in the vicinity" or similar suggestions).
