So when I peel back the moss it’s so cool, what I saw is this layer of volcanic ash. Look at that! It’s just is so amazing. So here is this sort of nutrient rich, powdery material right on the branches itself and what I didn’t realize was that this really did come from the volcanic blast in 1980
