agree  marco lessa (X): Bull run é uma onda de especulação de ações na bolsa de valores. Uma onda altista. Bull é o especulador que aposta na alta dos preços das ações. É bull (=touro) porque o touro levanta os chifres para atacar.

Bull run
A bull run is a sustained period of strong performance. It may be applied to a market, a sector, or a single security. During a bull run, bulls dominate the market for an extended period.

If a bull run becomes too strong, it may turn into a bubble, which then leads to a crash. Otherwise, it may be moderated by corrections, or simply taper off before valuations become too high.

Momentum investors may make money by joining in bull runs, but it can be difficult to judge when the bull run will end, very likely in a sudden movement downwards.

A bull is an investor who expects a market, sector or security to rise in price. The adjective "bullish" is also used. The opposite of a bull is a bear.

Bullish strategies can be fairly obvious (buying). Bulls may nonetheless use derivatives and other instruments to gear the rise they expect or to gain broad exposure. A bull may buy a index derivative as a result of being bullish about a market as a whole.
