Something cannot be done to this woman medically except on urgent indication Explanation: Hello, I'm not sure what the "woman" bit is about, but I thought that "sauf indication impérative" meant "except on urgent indication." Could it be that something is not to be done on this woman medically except on urgent indication? You could also say "except for urgent indications sauf = except indication = indication imperative = urgent I hope this helps. |

(for women) unless urgently prescribed otherwise Explanation: It could mean for women as opposed to (prepuberty) girls, unless urgently prescribed otherwise. Is this a procedure or a drug ? I doubt it's for males although per se the French could mean this! -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 6 hrs (2008-03-24 09:38:41 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- i.e. your list indicates who the (treatment) is for basically - children, adult (females) & the over 35 yr olds. Does the punctuation not indicate if EACH line indicates different patients ? |

female, not otherwise classified. Explanation: Take a look at these ICD9 codes. There is a diagnostic code for every conceivable disease. Sometimes there are subcodes, for example, diabetes with nephropathy, diabetes with retinopathy, or diabetes, not otherwise classified. http://icd9cm.chrisendres.com/index.php?srchtype=diseases&sr... Looking at your lists of phrases, there are similarities to the lists of ICD9 codes. The categories preceding and succeeding the phrase in question seem to be people in different age ranges. The "femme sauf indication imperative" appears to be a category not specifically delimited. I strongly suspect that there is another phrase in the list, "homme sauf indication imperative". |
