A gravity table is typically set up to divide the product into three categories: 1) the best seed, which goes straight to a bagging bin; 2) middle-cut seed, which is typically run across a gravity table again and again until it ends up in discard or goes to the bagging bin, and 3) junk seed, which is discarded.

neutral  Karlo Heppner: Sortiertisch ist zwar das richtige Wort, aber Sortiertafel nein. Und die Sache mit dem pneumatisch führt in eine andere Richtung, zu Verpackungsmaschinen.

neutral  Cilian O'Tuama: irgendwie nicht spezifisch genug. Unterscheidet nicht zwischen sortieren nach Größe und nach Gewicht. Mit gravity ist m.E. "nach Gewicht" gemeint.
