Il software dei sottosistemi LEU e PGW-O è stato progettato da XXX per *un’architettura di tipo due su due. * I due microprocessori presenti su ogni logica comunicano tra di loro per mezzo di canali seriali. L’esecuzione simmetrica del codice semplifica la sincronizzazione tra i due microprocessori minimizzando l’overhead associato alla gestione della *ridondanza due su due. *Nel software sono state implementate delle funzioni di autodiagnosi per la protezione dell’architettura da guasti Hardware latenti. In particolare vengono eseguiti test ON-LINE che permettono un trattamento appropriato dei guasti e l’adozione di opportune azioni per il loro confinamento. L’utilizzo di un linguaggio ad alto livello (linguaggio C) permette inoltre di avere un ciclo di vita del software ridotto, un maggior riuso, una maggiore facilità di manutenzione e di validazione.
