mitigation = smanjenje, ali u značenju 'to make something less harmful, serious etc.' npr. mitigation of poverty, damage, problem, punishment
decrease = to become smaller in size, number, etc.

agree  PoveyTrans (X): increase profit(s) but I would say reduce losses, this would be more common // OK. It sounds nice but for some reason we don't say 'to decrease losses', rather reduce. One of those querks of language.
