Albanian term or phrase: shoqërim
From a newspaper article in Kosova:
Programi ka për qëllim që të gjitha temat politike lidhur me integrimet evropiane, me procesin e stabilizimit dhe të shoqërimit të zbresin në nivel lokal.
The normal English equivalent for shoqërim would be accompaniment, like in music, I think. Or socializing, like between friends. But in this context...?

association
Explanation:
I believe they are refering to the stabilisation and association process (well, pact).

You could have a look at the Stability Pact where these terms are used.

Thanks you, Lars-Erik. For future reference: I have seen it as "asociimit" as well in Albanian newspapers.

Thanks Elvana! I found a European Union context. The author is referring to the The Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) with Serbia (and other possible member candidates).

agree  Ledja: You're right, Elvana; the Albanian media usually referes to this as "stabilizim-asociimi" (no mistake with the two "i"s")
