  -> In this case, yes. I think the phrase is sufficiently widely used to almost be a compound verb and the infinitive is not **very** split.

  -> Thanks Pierre. I shall endeavour to go boldly rather than to boldly go. Interesting mix of singular verb and plural noun - it all makes language sooo interesting!

agree  Bourth (X): To make use of it commercially (it may have been used before, to fill in holes or something ...). And I wouldn't split hairs about splitting infinitives when it enables me to more easily achieve what I want (as opposed to what I want more easily)
