Explanation:
Ça ne me semble rien sous-entendre.

On reccomande de rétracter tous les cylindres avant de vérifier le niveau d'huile. Les cylindres baignent probablement dans l'huile (à diverses profondeurs) ce qui fausserait la lecture.

Je n'ai pas de problème avec "vérin" si les cylindres comportent un piston, mais le texte d'origine ne mentionne rien de la sorte.

Pour "relevés", le texte ne déclare pas que les cylindres sont verticaux et au dessus du réservoir. Ils pourraient tout aussi bien être sur les côtés et horizontaux ou au dessous.

neutral  Tony M: I think you are misinterpreting, this is talking about hydraulic cylinders; it is in fact the pistons within these cylinders that retract, not the actual cylinders themselves.
