-Metallauspressungen,

Auspressung is evidently used a wide variety of contexts to mean various things, but might it mean extrusion here? Obviously, the little bits of metal that get squeezed out along the edges of a weld could be referred to as having been extruded, like toothpaste from a tube, but then again, extrusion is usually a controlled method of making "extruded parts", so I'm a bit wary of it. Is there a technical term for such defects along of the edge of the joint after spot/roll seam welding?

Isn't this what you are describing?

"Definition
Expulsion is the forceful ejection of molten metal from the weld. Severe expulsion may eject enough material to create a through-hole in the workpiece, commonly termed "burn through"."

A list of weld quality defects can be found here:

This source includes Surface Expulsion as one thing to look for when checking welds and talks about whiskers, also known as burrs. Those are the hard bits: "Spikes of solidified expulsion extending from the circumference of a weld are called whiskers or burrs and are also to be avoided."
