I'm not 100% clear is this is a merger, takeover or buyout.

agree  James (Jim) Davis: With Jean. The historic present in English doesn't really exist. Yes I thought of saying that it is used in timelines. I don't like it, (seems like lazy writing) and wouldn't use it. Much prefer "Hamlet enters stage left."
